last friday i gave birth to a dd we already have a ds who is 4.5 and has asd no speech andlittle understanding..

he was quite upset when baby came home kept out of her way was distant from me but that improved after a couple of days he just stayed away from where she was but this morning when he got up he came into our bedroom saw she was in the moses basket went over to her and gave her a kiss

it really was a lovely moment its like hes accepted she is staying just thought i would share it with you all

she was 5lb 8 oz not bad for 3 weeks early. we both came home day after and both doing well in fact i feel great.
i dont know if its because i know more of what im doing this time or if asd does make them hard work ( criers) as a baby but dd is an absolute angel

Congrats!!!! A lovely moment for you. My ds1 has no speach because of cp. You can't beat a brother or sister to encourage them to chatter. ds1 has come on leaps and bounds just because he was surrounded by chatter when his brother and sister came along.

congratulations. i definetly agree that a sibling helps them come on so much, my dd1 mothers dd2. they both scream happily at one another, we can't tell their screams apart anymore.
