Hello all, long time lurker and reader of posts here and thank you for all your brilliant tips and advice... So I now have a question. DS 11 is dyspraxic, ADD, bedwets (always has - in spite of meds, alarms, you name it, we have tried it all) etc. The more I read about retained reflexes the more I am convinced this is the problem - i makes total sense, and I have done tests on him and he jumps/wriggles/exhibits every sign.
SO... my question is this. We are in South London. I have been in touch with the David Mulhall centre. I have come across a woman who does Rhythmic Movements. I have watched exercises on youtube. I have him an appointment to have home-based Sound Therapy offered through the sound learning centre and he's doing eye exercises for poor convergence. My latest is seeing a chiropractor to try and untwist his pelvis (chiropractor is from Oz and totally up on retained reflexes too).
I know lots of you talk about Sally Goddard in Chester... but that's such a long way to go. I work full time, DS is at senior school (and actually making lots of friends - amazing), and whilst we're totally prepared to do what it takes, a London option would be SO much easier.
Has anyone had direct experience of either David Mulhall Centre or Rhythmic Movement therapy, or any other tips/suggestions?
It's not just the money. If we're going to commit to something big and intensive, I just need to know that I'm not building DS's hopes up without really good reason. Especially with the bedwetting he's on the brink of giving up hope.
Thanks so much for any help
