ds2 doesn't fit the criteria for autism dx (too friendly apparently) but has lots of autistic like behaviours his OT advised me to contact them to see if they could offer advise over toileting etc & they were fantastic.
I wish I'd contacted them ages ago, good common sense advice that I can really see working, very welcoming & they weren't bothered that ds doesn't have a dx of autism.

Thanks electra I guess I was being a bit flippant really but what they said was that his social interaction on a one to one is not disordered so if he is comfortable with the environment at the time his interaction is very good & although his language was delayed it is now progressing well & again not disordered.
He does have lots of sensory issues & repetative & compulsive behaviours & is very routine so they think he may have OCD & a social anxiety disorder but we'll have to wait & see.
I'm not sure what I think, when he's settled I think maybe they are right but if you were to see him in Tesco's I think anyone would dx autism.
