well i did start another thread but noone replied hhrrmmpphh stomping off emoticon!!!!!

anyway. there is no tribunal tomorrow, the lea have asked for a postponement so they can asess DS in the independent specialist school that we want him to go to.
This is really good news as the headteacher has told me that DS fits the admission criteria but that they wanted to meet him before they could guarantee a place.
this way the lea could agree to him going there and back out of tribunal and it doesnt go against them.

we emailed the exec director and our MP and told them that their council had discriminated against ds and failed to educate an extremely vulnerable and unwell boy.
wonder if that had anything to do with it?

Well done, I hope it works out well for your son. I HATE when the LEAs do this, they wait till the 11th hour to concede a point or another. We had our LEA concede about 3/4 requests we'd made 3 days before Tribunal and another few 10 minutes before the Tribunal hearing began. We were left like nincompoops with just one or two requests for the panel - which may have made us appear "unreasonable". We lost our case but if we hadn't gone so far we wouldn't have had anything.

Best of luck for your DS at the independent school.

In answer to your last question I bet it did. MPs have clout.

I hope too that it all goes well for you and DS.

Well done and fantastic news! It's great when a lot of hard work pays off like that.
