dd has a hearing test on wednesday(she has no problems with her hearing just keep an eye on it due to problems ds had)
she has a cold....kept her home today but she is going back tomrrow(under great protest) i know that they can't get a "true" reading when the child has a cold. what do you think?

Children often permamentally have colds. I think a lot depends on the severity of the cold. If its a head cold then its a different matter to a normal cold.

My son has had a snotty nose since he was six months old and is now five and half. I don't think that having a mild cold makes as much difference to the hearing test as you think.

My son had a hearing test two weeks ago. It was the first time he had had a hearing test without having a cold. He still failed it miserably. There was only about 5 Decibel improvement on his hearing test three months ago when he had a heavy cold.
