Sorry for the gross post!
My DS 5 has HF ASD and is very good at going to the loo & there were no problems potty training etc
He has had constipation on & off since very young. So he does struggle to go sometimes when he’s not had enough fruit or fibre but it’s not a huge issue.
When he does manage to go with no problems most of the time I find he’s wiped poo on the walls of the loo & on the toilet seat & bowl. He’s also told me that he does it in school. He can’t tell me why he does it, just that he can’t help it.
As he’s not severely autistic I’m surprised he does it. Can it still be an issue with HF ASD children? If so any tips or advice on how I can get him to stop?
I’ve obviously explained how dangerous it is & that he & other people can get sick due to germs etc but don’t think he really understands.
