Hypermobility with sporadic temper tantrums

Hi, ds has just been diagnosed with extensive hypermobility.
He’s in y1 and has been in trouble at school for defiance to teachers and lashing out at kids. This isn’t daily or even weekly but seems to be roughly once or twice a month. I understand anxiety and fatigue goes with his diagnosis. His teacher’s been quite uncaring and I’ve been told by someone who works at the school she openly moans about the kids that cause her “hassle” in the staffroom, mentioning them by name. I know this includes ds and that he’s been branded a trouble causer. When we shared his diagnosis with her she was dismissive and said he’s probably got other linked issues and mentioned adhd and autism.
We’ve just been to the gp who says he’s a normal boy who will have to work very hard to put in a normal day like his peers. He’s refused to refer him for behavioural issues. My gut instinct is that the gp is right. Ds isn’t acting up daily.
Has anyone got experience of the anxiety and frustration that being very hypermobile can bring?
We’re finding ourselves isolated by the school staff and somehow on the back foot. Ds is a kind sensitive little chap, he’s also v clever and reading at the top level of book and in top spelling set. We feel school have labelled him and his teacher can’t be bothered handling him professionally.
Thanks for listening and any insights will be appreciated
