Brilliant

Had our first session of physio and SALT today. It was brilliant - first time dd had one on one therapy. Therapists were brilliant explaining why they got dd to do things and how to break her of a habit that would not be helpful.

was worried dd would do what she often did in the UK - would not do what she could and make me feel silly as I had said to the physio/ot that she could do something.

She was brilliant - did lots of things and the therapists were pleased with what she can do and how dd responded to their therapy and ideas....

Came home so positive and proud of dd. Often feel like I am getting nowhere with things and then something like that happens and I realise how far she has come.

We have been referred to a special needs playgroup that we are checking out this week and I am off to check out a mainstream nursery for a one day a week placement - dd needs more stimulation than me and I need a day off from her I think - just to rest and get things sorted for no2.

Just wanted to bring you up to date with her therapy.... just so pleased

That's fab eidsvold. Good therapists do make such a difference and sounds like your dd responded really well to them.

By the way had a peak at your dd on the Loads website - she looks utterly adorable .

Hey - isn't it the middle of the night there?!

it is 10.30 pm - trying to watch a bit of the olympics however as usual the good finals are in the middle of the night - 2 am or something!!

she can be adorable but like all kids - has her moments!!!

Know what you mean!

My dd is also off to nursery, well an Early Intervention Centre, 2 days a week from September. Like you, think it will be fantastic for her and great for me to have some time to myself.

Enjoy the Olympics.

Good all round then - am so pleased for you and the day you get some rest will probably be much needed.

Gove DD a big hug - what a clever little girl.

lou - no2 is doing fine - although I have a much bigger bump than last time.... probably be a much bigger baby as dd was relatively small....
met a stupid consultant but other than that - GP and midwives are fine!!! 12 weeks to go!!

That's good news, but OMG hasn't it gone fast?!!!

I was bigger with number two as well. Was still wearing hot pants at 7m with dd1.
