A bit of a dilemma!

I am sure you lovely people out there will be able to give me some advice.
Recently paid for dd speech & lang. via Symbol who specialise in DS. Came away with loads of ideas and a huge list of resources to buy if I am to follow half of them through.
Have recently ordered DSii from Downs Ed together with the Numicon home kit- could have spent a fortune but you have to draw the line somewhere! Still eagerly waiting it's arrival.
Have been recommended to use a phonics system with actions, I am aiming to use Jolly Phonics as my ds uses it at school and I have managed to borrow a handbook to use & copy during the hols.
I have also been busy making up word matching sheets and laminating them!
I am thinking of trying some educational software, probably aiming at phonics but I suppose I shouldn't rule out numeracy.
Has anyone got any opinions on what to go for? Should I try something aimed at SN ( Speaking for myself, Scally's verbs...), or should I go for a more typical DK Learning Ladder or Jump Ahead series of software.
There seem to be so many directions to turn and I don't know what to try first, it would be lovely to just buy, buy, buy and try them out one by one but unfortunately I don't have a bottomless purse!

Just bumping this up as I know jimjams is the expert on this.

Thanks Fio!

For those of you who don't know- my dd is 2yr 9 months & has DS. She is a right little madam but very lovable with it. She isn't speaking much but we are starting to get some lovely vocals from her now though. She is signing in excess of 100 words.

Dont know if this will be of any interest to you for learning keyboard skills but I have reader rabbit baby 9m - 3 years which the child uses either the space bar, which activates everything or the mouse when they can, very bright colourful and nice, cobers things likes shapes and matching in a very simple wat and then there reader rabbit toddler which is a step up but is very easy to use again and covers a range of thigs which escapes me. Happy to pop them in the post for you, just email me at pennyandpaddy at yahoo.co.uk if you would like then, and good luck on your quest.
Oh and i think Learning Ladder and Jump ahead can be quite confusing sometimes, they assume you know what your doing without any insructions on what you are meant to be doing.

coVers things in a very simple waY...oh the whole posts all spelt wrong...sure you can decipher it though!

I don't know very much as so little software is accessable to ds1. the company INclusive Technology is very good. We have an intellikeys keyboard now which is working well for us- but it doesn't sound as if your dd would need it.

Charliecat, are the reader rabbit suitable for use with Windows XP? If they are I'll give them a go please.Let me know and I'll email you back with my details.
Sorry it's taken this long to get back to you. My "quest" as you put it, seems to have taken over my life ( and my dining room! ) at the moment.
Thanks.
