We did have a libero mountain until ds2 decided he didn't like the packets & opened every pack. Now i have hundreds of loose pull ups stowed in every orifice.
Tena supply our Libero pull ups our HV completed the continence assessment forms with us, I think we get 5 a day but we can increase or decrease if needed before each delivery.

How did you get referred?

DD1 will be 4 in a month.

Has dyspraxia. NO sign of training anytime soon.

Just now applying for DLA.

We get Libero, which IMO are fine, and more roomy than pampers. They were starting to chafe a little, and the libero ones are just as absorbent but are more generous in the sizing.
Expat, we were referred by the school nurse.

Hi i didnt know about free nappies such an reliseation for me. my son is 4.5yrs and allthough potty trained he still can have up to 3 accidents a day on a bad week and less on a good week. I only put nappies on him at night and have lots of trousers pant for the day. I use a cloth nappy on him called a minki yoyo they come in 2 sizes 18m -3yrs and 3-7yrs which is big. They are just like pull ups with strechy lycra sides and poppers if you have a messy one. They are really worth it for long term use i have two and use prefoldes to stuff the pocket with and wash with his clothes as they normally have pee in anyway.

Maybe these would suit your Children as well they come in funky designs to like fire engines and pink and girly designs.

hiya, didnt read all replies, i get free nappies for ds3 who shows absolutely no sign of using the toilet yet at all and we are presently starting a trial gluten free diet to see if that helps, they allowed 4 a day where we are as they dont allow for nighttime apparently, he did have pampers nappies but now he has to have pullups for school he gets some foreign brand i think, which are pretty boring but do the job lol. oh yeah and he only has 3 a day now its pull ups aswell for some reason, never applied for them for ds4 who still isnt dry but does have awareness, as i have no room to store another 3 mths worth of nappies lol.

my ds is 6, has mild cerebral palsy and is doubly incontinent ...and in West sussex my allowance is NOTHING!

mymatemax · 13/05/2007 22:08

Mabs thats disgusting, apart from the cost where on earth do you find nappies to fit a 6yr old.
DS2 also with mild cp is 4 & I was struggling to buy anything that fitted.

We also used to get Libero (nappies and pull ups). They used to deliver about 3 boxes (each box hold 6 packets) of each once every six weeks. When I spoke to the people who supplied the nappies about having a longer gap between deliveries (as I was running out of room to store them), they said that if I stopped (or tried to delay) the delivery, then it would be difficult for me to get re-started. Luckily we no longer use them as DD is out of nappies day and night.

Libero, I found, were as good as, if not better, than Pampers and Huggies from an absorbency point of view. The size were a good fit too.
