Hi all,
New to MN - have posted a couple of times and thought it was time to say a proper hello - also waiting for LA assessment officer to return my call as she is just "in a meeting" so I have some time on my hands! LOL Im mum to an 8yr old girl and a 6 yr old boy with ASD and loads of other dx (challenging behaviour, Speech and language difficulties, sleep, sensory ...... child has more letters after his name than the average professor! We have "officially" had autism in the family 3 yrs now, initial pain long gone but ongoing fights for services remain! (note waiting on this call!) Both my children are in the same M/S school, my son has 32.5 hrs full support.
And me..... well I take far too much on in life and then wonder why my house is a tip! My "me time" is the gym and I also do voluntary work helping parents of SN children through the Education Minefield - intended to do 1 or 2 days a week but often do much more. May not be the most regular contributer but hope to get to know you guys, share the laughs and frustrations and maybe help out some too. xx

Welcome to the SN board, Tibni.

I have 2 boys with ASD (6yrs & 4yrs) and 1yr old dd (NT?).

Good luck with the call. Isn't "in a meeting" the secret code for "Don't under any circumstances put any calls through from Mr/Mrs/Miss XYZ"?

Hi Tibsi! It's really nice to hear what you and everyone does in life, but I think i like to be nosey! I too take on things, then wonder why - I became treasurer of a committee: oh yes I've got loads of time...

My ds who is 8yo has moderate cerebral palsy and learning difficulties. I have a 3yo dd who is fine and a happy little soul. Got to collect her from pre-school in a mo.

Anyway, welcome!

Welcome tibni, MN is great for finding answers and hearing that everything you are going through so is everyone else.
I have a DD whos 6 and is in a wheelchair and developmentally delayed. But she has the biggest smile that makes all her disabilities disappear.

Hello tibni, I have four boys. DS4 (two in June) has hypotonia and Global Developmental Delay, no DX yet, he's reaching most milestones, just at his own pace!!

Lots of support here, welcome.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Wasn't sure what the introduction protocol was! After a second "reminder call"( Assessment officer at dinner this time!) my call was returned. Age old question but why does everything have to be such a battle for our kids?

Hi tibni
I have 2 boys,ds2 has mild CP, gdd, hypotonia OCD, social anxiety disorder with autistic traits plus a few other bits going on.
He will be joining his brother at ms school in Sept, so fingers crossed! Both are funny, cheeky & permanently dirty.
I work p/time in criminal history, boring but flexible so get the time off I need for ds2.
Max xx
