Posted too early!
My main concern is his eating..he's still on a purée diet and we've been introducing foods such as chocolate, dissolvable crisps etc
Does anyone have any ideas on foods I could try with him? Foods that have helped your dc with chewing and swallowing?

How is his hand function? You could try finger foods, we tried strips of toast, peas, cucumber sticks, sticks of cheese, rice cakes?
Soup pasta shells are good too
With my dd - I gradually changed the consistency of the purees, making them more and more lumpy.

We did similar to what Summersummerdaydreams suggests. DD was good with finger food which helped a lot with fine motor skills. I used to give her breadsticks, mini rice cakes and sticks of cheese, cucumber etc.

She was never a big fan of purees but even now (she's 10) prefers finger food meals to anything in a sauce! I did buy a mouli which was useful as she did tend to gag easily on lumpy puree to begin with.
