Hello all,

We wanted to share with you the relaxed film screenings and performances coming to The Theatre Chipping Norton over the coming months JUST in case word hadn't reach you and they are of interest to you.

Relaxed Film Screenings and Relaxed Performances are open to everyone, but with some changes to increase accessibility for all. Relaxed Screenings are suitable for people living with dementia and their carers and for those with learning disabilities and Relaxed Performances have environments adapted to welcome families with children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders and those with learning disabilities.

Coming up at The Theatre this season...

Thursday 19th April, 7.45pm
GIANT

This production is toured with a 'Relaxed Performance As Standard' policy - they do this as a way to increase access and encourage new audiences, and we're so excited to welcome them back to The Theatre.

Their relaxed performance policy extends to grumpy nans muttering through shows, children getting up to go to the loo, and teenagers giggling during the serious bits, as well as disabled patrons - everyone is warmly welcomed.

Tommy, 22, lives under the same roof as three generations of his family. Horribly honest clowns and questionable cabaret acts ignite the stage, exploring generational identity through Zoo Co.'s trademark live music, puppetry, poetry and movement.

We hope to see you on Thursday 19th April - give our Box Office a call on 01608 642 350 for more information and to discuss any access needs.

Tickets: £14, £12 concs, U26 £5 (carer goes free)

A Tender Thing
A Chipping Norton Theatre HomeGrown Production

Romeo and Juliet Re-imagined | Love entangled with the end of love.

An astonishing and beautiful reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Ben Power’s unique and moving play imagines the star-crossed lovers at the end of long lives together. Shakespeare’s original words are woven together into a new, deeply romantic story of loyalty, loss and enduring love.

A huge hit for the RSC in 2009 and 2012, this crisp, contemporary production is steeped in atmosphere, lyricism and heartbreaking romance.

“Powerful and moving” – British Theatre Guide

FINDING YOUR FEET (12a)

Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie and Joanna Lumley are just a handful of the all-star British cast in this hear-warming modern comedy. A colourful group of baby boomers show a middle-class snob that retirement is only the beginning and that divorce, necessitated by the philandering of her husband of 40 years, might just give her a whole new lease of life.

All Tickets £3.50

We hope to see you at The Theatre soon.
