POA and a will?

Don't know if this is in the right place but I've been googling forever and can't find the answer.

A few months ago my DM got POA of my DG she is the only child and me and my DB are the only grandchildren, we had to agree to her getting POA and we both did (something we very much regret now) all I want to know is why did we have to agree? Is it because we're the only family or is it because we're named on the will or neither? Confused

My DG has since passed away and we know nothing about the will, finances or anything. What I can say though is DM has a nice shiny new car and has quit work!!

POA only lasts while the person is alive. Did you sign to be replacement attorneys or something else? Why do you regret signing it?
Presumably your DM was the sole beneficiary of your DG 's will which is why she can afford a shiny new car and to give up work.
