Do weighted blankets help sleep?

I was wondering if a weighted blanket will help my 4 year old ASD son to sleep better. He does move a lot in his sleep, he can wake several times, or just really early and then not go back to sleep. He always kicks his covers off him so a weighted blanket might just really annoy him and be a waste of money. But then it might just help! I don't know.... would love to hear other people's experiences with this. Thanks.

They should only be used to help a child get to sleep and not be left on all night for fear of overheating and suffocation, it's a small risk but it's a risk.

Places like Cerebra might lend you one to try.

A sleeping bag might help. Grobag make big sizes.

Am not in the uk but we have a duvet with marbles. As soon as we tucked ds in with it he said oooh its nice and cosy and just beamed. Then he slept for 13 hours.

Yes they do work. They are v expensive but you can make them much cheaper (lots on google made from rice etc)
I've seen v tight/stretchy sheets recommended too
