Does massage help with sensory issues in the feet?

Or anything else?! Dd had a bad morning over shoes and socks again. Up since 4:50 and still over half an hour late for school.

My dc would hate massage. They wear their socks inside out which makes a huge difference for the seams. I've heard Clarks also now do sensory footwear for children! Havent seen them (mine are too old for Clarks now) but I hope they live up to their idea.

Ds hates having his feet touched. The only socks that worked are SmartKnit ones from Sensory Smart.

And I don't want to be rude but people have answered about the shoe problem on one of your other threads and it would be polite to at respond there, not just start another thread. Obviously you don't owe us anything for replying but eventually people will stop trying to help if you don't engage.

I appreciate that, really sorry, it's just been very hectic. Struggling at the minute to be honest.

I read that rubbing their feet helps de-sensitise them when sensory struggles. I imagine that would be a nightmare for some little ones and perhaps enjoyable for others.

Polter, just wanted to say, I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time you've had a little go at myself....amongst others on here. I was having a really hard day and struggling through and reading your comment earlier made me feel just awful. I appreciate what you've said though and take it on board. I have been so busy, it's manic, just like others are probably going through. Even if I mean to reply, I just don't seem to get around to doing it sometimes.

I'm sorry you're having a tough time and I hope it gets better. I know I can be blunt, but I didn't mean to upset you Flowers

I've tried this. Deep massage rather than a light touch which dd can't bear. Didn't help I'm afraid.

How do manage with toe nail cutting? When it really has to be done, I generally end up being battered by her in the process.

Dd seems okay with toe nail cutting, but I've heard that's v common. Imagine it can be really tricky!

My Daughter hates hair brushing!
