Pre school signs of adhd

So, my 3 year old (just turned 3) is due to start nursery next week. I am about 99% certain that my oh has undiagnosed adhd (work in progress getting him to discuss this!) and my little girl has lots of traits. Obviously 3 year olds can be tricky age anyway so I guess what I'm asking is, for families with a diagnosis for an older child, what were your tell tale signs when your child was little and what was your first step in accessing support? What worked for you? Thanks in advance 🙂

Ds1 was flagged at 2.5 for his behaviour (adhd diagnosed at 6). He was put through asd diagnosis as they won't diagnose here until 6 when they can take qb test.

Ds unusually was a great sleeper but he impulsive, do laps around toddler group, always bumping into everything, running off and into roads, was very very loud, obsessive about certain things like certain toys, head banged his cot, never sat still during nursery.

BUT

Girls can and do present differently to boys. My ds1 is classic combined where looks like ds2 is primarily inattentive/impulsive

Firm boundaries and very structured routine worked well with both boys when younger. Visuals like brushing teeth, getting dressed.

Timers are a life saver still. I use time outs but half the time and started by sitting on time out with them.

I found 1,2,3 magic helpful but she might be a bit young

I've got two girls both diagnosed with autism and ADHD. They're 7 and 4. They're both very hyper, impulsive, couldn't wait, couldn't sit still, would constantly climb and jump on stuff. Even when sitting their bodies would be moving. Lack of focus and concentration. They're very classically adhd.
