Advice about ophthalmologist?

ASD Ds (6) finds some visual stuff difficult, e.g. looking where you point, keeping visual focus on something for more than a few seconds. When he looks for something he will move his whole head - scanning seems hard. After doing something like a puzzle (which is hard for him) he rubs his eyes a lot. Optician said eyesight is fine. But I've heard that Ophthalmologist finds issues that an optician doesn't e.g. eye tracking.

It may just be part of how he is affected by his autism.

Any advice would be great.

I recommend this man

Free testing, you only pay for frames (if you choose more expensive than NHS voucher covers) and coloured lenses.

We've had GREAT results with coloured lens glasses!

That's great frazzledbutcalm!
What particular issues did it help with?
Thanks

Visual stress .... words moving all over the page instead of staying still - colour glasses corrected this immediately!
Lip sync
Hearing words and voices as they actually are, not distorted by poor Sensory Processing
Tracking issues
Taste and touch!

And more ....
