Sensory issues/sleep/night terrors

DS1 doesn't have any specific diagnosis, but he has a lot of sensory issues and ND traits. He was prone to night terrors when he was younger and at the moment he is having a lot of similar incidents. He insists on pulling his duvet or sheet right over his head and wraps himself up really tight to go to sleep, which seems to be a sensory/comfort thing that makes him feel secure. The trouble is, often an hour or so later he comes out of his room dripping with sweat, shivering, teeth chattering and disorientated. He's not properly awake and can sometimes be guided straight back to bed and will drop off again right away. But sometimes, like just now, he starts walking around, saying disjointed half sentences and being unable to settle again.

We've discussed not pulling the covers over his head again and again, but he will keep doing it. I don't know if there's anything that can make him feel secure without over heating? Has anyone experienced anything like this, and what do you do about it?

Thanks!

No ideas, sorry, but I'd suggest trying Cerebra's sleep service.

sleeping bag?

I'm not sure we qualify for Cerebra, but thanks.

Trying him with a flat sheet tucked in the old-fashioned way tonight. Will see how that goes.
