DLA rates correct?

Hi I would like advice please if anyone has any similar experience of the following. My DD is 3 and a half and receives high rate personal care DLA, I also get carers allowance for her. She has global development delay, I've recently been told by her paediatrician that she has hyper mobile joints which explains why she has difficulty walking and tires easily. I was just wondering if the rate she gets is correct, I was renewing my tax credits recently and it said the high rate of DLA is for severely disabled children. She isn't severely disabled, although she does meet all the criteria for the high rate personal care. She doesn't receive the mobility element. Someone came out to the house and helped me fill the forms in and I was completely honest with everything I told them. But I am worried I am being overpaid as she's not severely disabled. I suspect she is on the autistic spectrum and she has behavioural problems, she is very demanding, needs constant supervision and easily gets distressed. She wakes screaming at night time and takes hours to get to sleep. I just don't want to be receiving money that I'm not entitled to. Thanks in advance.

i think it sounds about right.

My child also gets high rate.

I sometimes dont think we see how disabled our children our compared to NT children as its just our life

Sounds correct to me, my son is autistic and has ADHD, his concentration is not on point and he struggles with walking long distances and communication with others. He is on the highest rate I also filled the form out correctly with a health care professional. Unless your child's condition gets better (autism is lifelong anyway) I'd say your rate of Dla is fine. 👌

I'm not sure whether this is correct. It must be if you filled in the form correctly. My son is on the autistic spectrum and requirea round the clock care because of his carelessness and defiance and aggression. He also requires night time care for sleepwalking, severe night terrors, he is medicated to sleep. He was reviving low rate care and low rate mobility, I asked for a reassessment because his Physc and paediatrician told me he should be receiving high rate care, still low rate mobility though. Anyway, they've come back with the same result! I'd love them to just look after him for one day. They couldn't

We submitted the doctors statement with ours, my son who only scored 8 on his Austism assessment got the middle rate and lower mobility rate. I personally don’t understand how, he is generally okay apart from falling over a lot he do3snt need help with mobility. I’m still suspicious. When you answer the questions, even the slightest detail can sway thier decision.
