DS had 8 accidents at school yesterday, they had to call me as they had ran out of clean clothes, today he has so far had 4 accident, he has had so many tests but they were all negative, he is under assessment for AS at the moment and is being statemented this month, sometimes I just wish it was plausable to be able to put him back into nappies, as its not just bladder accidents but bowel movements too.

How about eenie pants- they look like cotton pants put have a waterproof bit inside and a disposable pad. lollipop children's products sell them.

I know if he had some protection, similair to nappies he would make no effort at all to go to the toilet, but then sometimes I feel like he will never be toilet trained, he is 6 years old btw.

DS1 didn't train until after starting school so I sympathise. The pads are biodegradable eco pads so they do feel soggy and uncomfy when wet iykwim.

I will seak to his peadiatrician and see what she thinks about it, not sure if the school would like it much either.

Ah yes the problem with mainstream schools and toiletting issues. There is quite a bit online about toiletting and the DDA, so might be worth looking up.

hiya totaleclipse, my ds3 is 5 yr old and in mainstream school and in pull ups, although he isnt under investigation for it at the mo, school agree with me that ds3 is as, he has no bowel control at all, and seems to have no knowledge of bladder control either, i just dont think its worth the hassle personally, if your ds is statemented then shouldnt he be ok in pullups, this school got a changing table in specially for ds3, as they knew he would be starting school still in nappies, only request they made is that i sent him in pull ups, seems to me if he's having that many accidents hun, all your doing is causing yourself and ds a lot of stress, maybe speak to the school and ask them if you can put him in pullups but them take him to the toilet regularly, i have to say though, to have 8 accidents in a school day they obviously arent doing much to encourage him to go to the toilet, surely with a child with sn and poss toileting probs you would think they would be doing, i know they attempt to with my ds3. hope you sort something out hun, am sure this must be very stressful for all concerned. x
