DS1 (aged 7) just produced his FIRST Makaton sign.

I'm a regular btw hiding under a different name for the moment.

His therapist is working with him, we decided to introduce Makaton now he can imitate (thanks Socci and Davros) and he's asking for "jump" (to jump off the playhouse roof!).

Amazed how quickly he got it- "do this" - bit of shaping and we were there......

Light? DS2 used to like this one. He only ever signs 'later' and very occasionally 'home' though. I might try it in imitation trials - have never thought of doing it this way.
