Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Has anyone used "Happy Puzzle" products for their SN child?

I think it's the same company that visited ds1's school last year. The leaflet they sent out to parents looked good but IIRC the actual disaplay was a bit of a let-down IMHO. A lot of the stuff seemed to be for older children and I thought it was expensive.

Sorry HPC if I've got you mixed up with another company.

I have looked at their stuff a few times because it is advertised for dyspraxic children and Ds2 has a lot of motor problems. But it is for dyspraxic children a lot more developmentally advanced than Ds2 I think. I don't think he would understand the point of a lot of it.

How did it go, Dingle?

LOL- Oh I'd forgotten I'd posted this!!

Soo much is going on ATM with the LEA!!!

Well as a parent who has been attending a numeracy workshop, I got to go and play with the puzzles for an hour before the "shop" was open to the rest of the school.

They had some great games/puzzles- could have spent a fortune- but took a few brochure home instead. The prices were quite steep.
