of my dd, who is nearly 5 and has a language disorder. She has just got back from a party and has been soooo good. This time last year dd was a complete nightmare. She has been to loads recently and now is so good, sits down for the food (unlike last year when I would be chasing her around the tables. To me I am just so proud as I know that they can be hard for dd, with the noise and basic overload but she copes so well. She has also had another firned home for tea this week and I am so happy that her social skills have come on so much, again this time last year it was impossible for her. It's one more milestone that we have tackled and for a parent of an sn child would understand that it's the little things that mean a lot.

blossomhill - that is great. So pleased for you. I know that when my dd was first diagnosed one of the first things that went through my head was "please let her still have friends". it sounds like your dd is coping really well and you are justly proud. When you can't take things for granted then everything means a lot, and so it should .

Awwwww! She sounds like a little angel. At this rate you'll soon be starting threads about how you want some peace from all off dd's friends because they're always at your house for tea.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments, you are so sweet.
Also wanted to add (as I hardly ever mention him) how proud I am of ds as he really hurt his neck by straining it on Saturday and has been so brave, bless him.
