Well as you know we have been on the move for the last few weeks - living with inlaws in England then a week in Singapore, then with rellies in Aus and finally in our own place in Australia.

Despite all this disruption dd has coped soo well. In Singapore she loved the zoo and loved riding along in the bumboats along the river.

Since leaving England she has come on again in leaps and bounds....

using some makaton signs
sleeping in a bed - and coping fine with that ( rather than a cot)
doing really well with her bottle to cup trainer bottle ( really did not want to use it a couple of weeks ago)
Using spoon/fork to put food in her mouth - as long as we load it first
wanting to brush her own hair and teeth and making a good go at it.

I am soo proud of how well she has coped with such disruption and upheaval.....

sorry for such a long winded brag - but she is just amazing.

ps - all is well so far with no2 - having anomaly scan - hopefully next week - if they can find me an appointment.

Ooh Eidsvold I didn't realise you had actually gone! Hope it went well, and well done to dd for taking it all in her stride. Now put your feet up and look forward to your next little bundle of love

How great to hear from you from Down Under Eidsvold and wonderful too about DD's progress. How are you settling into the new home?

geekgrrl · 18/06/2004 13:42

eidsvold, great to hear that she is doing so well and that everything is ok with you all. hope you'll get all settled into your new house soon.

Jimjams · 18/06/2004 18:52

I was just thinking about you today eidsvold and wondering whether you were now in Aus.

glad to hear all your good news - well done dd.

Bet its good to be home!

coppertop · 18/06/2004 19:04

That's such great news. No wonder you're feeling extra-proud today. I'm glad the move to Aus has gone so well.

How lovely Doesn't matter where you are in the world mumsnet is a kind of 'home' isn't it?

eidsvold · 19/06/2004 10:06

we are all settled into our new/old home. I had it rented out whilst I was in England - lots of plans for sprucing it up - rather tired looking. Dd loves it as everything is on one level and she can cralw around to her hearts content.

It is just good to be home and with friends and family... although very hard to leave in-laws behind - lots of tears....
