We have received ds2's draft statement in the post, and in it they mention using social stories for him as a way of getting him to cope with any new routines he may have to encounter.

I think I know, but just to be sure, what exactly are they? Being a dunce today, noone has mentioned using them before .

Tia.

Thanks for that link Dino, it looks great. I would love to take you up on your offer if you are sure you don't mind! Shall i cat, or do you want to do the deed?

We've just started using Social Stories with ds1. It's early days yet but it seems to be working really well. He loves having his own special book and will read it over and over by himself. Anytime he tries to go back to his old routine we just remind him of what his book says and he's quite happy about the change - well most of the time.

That's good to hear CT, thanks. Are you feeling a bit lost without Wk to stalk btw ?

We actually did have a thread about this in May also called Social Stories. Switch the section to alphabetical and you will find it.
