We're rather in as the Paed thinks DS3 has ASD and SLI. So the child we thought was NT six months ago clearly isn't, some form of regressive ASD.

So very that within 6 months we've had two children dx'd as on the spectrum.

Harry may get the extra year at nursery with support from a learning assistant 1 - 1, after that he'll go to special school- there's an ASD unit in newport he can access.

Does anyone know about the earlybird course? paed is wanting us to go on it.

And we are going to sort out Pecs.

And make a complaint about teh HV who refused to hear our concerns re language at 18 months old (he's 3.5 now) saying it was tooearly, not to worry until 3.

both feeling very, very delicate and now.

oh Peachy, i feel for you it is a blow no matter how much you suspect autism my twin girls were DX at 4.4 ds was a year later dx at 2.4 months. he regressed into autism, lost all his speech & other stuff, i have heard good things about the early bird course, not that we were offered it, i guess its good for networking, give it a go.
go easy on yourself, do give me a shout if i can help in anyway, DLA stuff is one of my areas!

Sorry to here this, Peachy.

At least you pushed to have your suspicions taken seriously. I wonder how many people are put off by the lack of preschool checks, or get fobbed off by a professional at some point?

I dont know much about earlybird, but Pecs is supposed to be good.

(((Peachy)))
I know you had suspicions but it still must be hard to get the news.At least with the Paeds on side the school situation may be easier than you thought.
