How do you deal with 'friends' being little sh**s?

Sorry about the swearing, another day after school trying to calm DS8 (ASD) after his three friends spent the day taking the piss.

I get so angry on his behalf that I want to screech through the playground, but of course need a better strategy.

How do you deal with it?

How horrible for your DS. It's bullying and needs to be dealt with. Tell the school.

Thanks, it's his best friends as he calls them. I think we have been in a little bubble thinking he had good friendships when really it's all a little manipulative.

Have meeting at school on Thursday, will tell them then and follow up in writing.

It's infuriating...

I would definitely speak to the school. I would also, depending on how much your ds understands, have a chat about what a good friend is and the kinds of things they do and what kind of behaviour isn't friendly. And also strategies for if people are being mean - walking away/telling an adult etc. It's hard though especially if your child thinks someone is a friend because they say they are.
