Anyone know where I can get a pair?

Not at all keen on the idea, but he's getting fast and I can hardly keep up with him now. So god knows what it'll be like a in few months time when I'm well up the duff. He also has running/chasing constantly on his mind at the moment. School trip coming up and I know his LSA is nervous. She's aksed for a wrist strap but he won't wear that.

I've just found crelling harnesses so am about to check them out, but wondered whether anyone has any experience/advice.

Crelling have one which is just a belt rather than shoulder straps as well. I would be less averse to that. Anyone know whether they're any good?

i have seen a rucksack with a strap attached so maybe he would prefer to wear that than reins. it also had a handle on the top so you could grab them quikly if required! i'm sure i swa it on mn. will go and look in products.....

No help here, I'm afraid.

Ds1 will occasionally tolerate his wrist-strap. When this no longer happens we may well be in the same position as you. Ds1 is still only 3yrs old but is often mistaken for a 6yr old.

is in products and thread is called littlelife toddler day sack. sorry can't do links!

Jimjams · 31/05/2004 19:40

Thanks maisystar I know the thing you mean but I think it will be too small and ds1 won't wearbackpacks.

I'll let you know what we go with coppertop. I'll ring crelling tomorrow anyway- they haven't got a picture for the waist one on their website. (they have a link but no picture comes up).

Did a google search and just came up with loads of S&M !!

I don't know if they still do Jimjams, but Crelling used to do a harness type thing that had shoulders too, like the sort of thing you find on puschairs, but was removable.

lou33 · 31/05/2004 19:59

Just been on their site Jimjams, and they say the one with shoulder straps and a waistbelt is £16.50 plus vat. The one with no shoulders is £9.30 plus vat.

I've gone for the belt form crelling. Will let you know what its like. if it's no good they said they'd be happy to exchange it for the full shoulder strap harness thing.

Well that was quick. ordered yesterday and belt arrived today. It is FANTASTIC. Took ds1 into the shop next to nursery to buy some milk. he tried to run off when paying- usually I would have had to drop my money, run, rugby tackle him back inside then hod him by the collar whilst trying to pay. Today I just put the belt over my arm (in my elbow) so had both hands free to pay. He was desperate to run but couldn't. I haven;t dared go into that shop with hik for months so a bit of a win.

It says its for up to age 8, but it fits (pregnant) me as well.
