@KimmySchmit - I can understand the consideration of cost but the value of AngelSense has been worth every penny. I am a single mom and cost was a definite factor for me. I have found some funding resources and will share them below:
Some families have had success with the following: Insurance, Medicaid Waiver, Easter Seals, Tax deduction, and local state programs. Referral - for every customer you bring you get a 1 month refund Annual Subscription - Paying in advance for 1 year is discounted to $399.90 (2 months free)
Inquire with your insurance company as to whether they will cover some or all of the cost of AngelSense. It is also important to understand the steps you must take to acquire coverage. Insurance coverage varies by carrier. Typically, the insurance company will require a diagnosis from your family doctor of wandering (diagnostic code: V40.31). We have a letter that your doctor can personalize which may help you with the insurance company requirements. We are currently unable to bill your insurance company directly.
Locate your state of residence via www.medicaidwaiver.org and contact the local office to get details on the application process.
Easter Seals provides funding for children with special needs to cover items and services deemed to be medically necessary, in the form of a stipend. Contact your local office for details: www.easterseals.com
Some social workers and local help centers can help with the cost of the device as well. You should check with your local caseworker.
The AngelSense service expense is tax deductible under Safety and Health. Please let us know if you need additional information.
