Yikes!!! Well, I don't recognise normal anymore ...... But that's not normal.... He must have very high pain threshold! I hurt just thinking about it.

Does he have OT? Sensory seeking?

Well he diddnt say anything about it, we have asked him not to do it again as we have told him germ will get in if he does, it probably is sensory seeking xxxxx we need to ask for an Ot we got shrugged off by the one we saw when he was little, but then school bought a private one in for him hos gives us a load of stuff to do with him xx

Well he is 8 and he has sensory processing disorder and yes he certainly did do it to himself as there was nobody else upstairs.

I asked him why hed done it and he said because i wanted to,then i told him it was dangerous and not to do it again and he started getting all defensive.

I would faint if my boys did that. I think you need to kick up a fuss and get back to OT.

If he needs sensory feedback then they are the people that can tell you how to replace this with something nicer. And sanitary.... (Faint!)

I dont think he was trying to freak us out, he doesnt think that way if you know what i mean, not sure if he thought it was cool, its hard to get something out of him if you know what i mean.

I had to get a photo for the pead as we have been hanging on for years for a diagnoses, he wasnt in pain or uncomfy or anything,it was like it was just natrual for him,if that makes sense> he walked all the way downstairs with them in his big toes without flinching!

And no he hasnt done this before however has threatened to kill himself numerous times! and has tried, obviously we are there to keep on top of it! i just worry about the day we are not!

Really? so he cant be unsupervised upstairs for 10 or 20 mins? even though there is nothing up there that can harm him (or so i thought!) isnt that wrong? that you can be honest?

shazzarooney99 · 24/09/2015 22:49

By the way i have taken the photos because my son has been in the system since he was 2 n half and weve never been able to get a proffesional to take us seriously! so i am trying to colate as much evidence as possible at the moment and as he was not in any distress.............................

I had a kid at my sons school keep sewing his finger when I was helping out in crafts. It was just into his top layer of skin to freak me out (it worked - the fist two times)

If it is attention the germs idea might be a good motivator to stop. My toddler has very low pain threshold. He is a major seeker too

shazzarooney99 · 25/09/2015 16:23

Well done 2boysnamedR, i spoke to a few people in work today and they have said its most likley sensory seeking. xxx
