daily bedroom trashing by 7yo. Go minimalist and keep it calm?

DD has a small room and as she's got older her bedroom trashing has got worse. I've removed her bookcase and tall toy storage because she was pulling them over and her and the wall had a near miss. She pulls clothes out of her wardrobe, so they're currently littering the floor. I don't gave time to tidy up and when I do she destroys it within a day or so.Is it more calming for some children to go minimalist? Obviously keeping favourite toys and essentials but otherwise being ruthless and minimising what can be flung around? Not sure I'm being too optimistic? I'd like to try shelves but I fear they would be ripped off the wall.

Lovely ideas Smile. She did mention she'd like a bed canopy / net actually.

Would it be worth getting tough furniture for the room?

It isn't cheap, but some charities will give grants for it.

Having a simmilar dilemma with our 7yo dd. one thing to consider is perhaps not having her clothes in her room? Less mess?

We are trying to move dd into the box room with a new cabin bed to create a calming space for her - she won't let go of her current bed (slight control issues Smile). But, we've decided to keep her clothes in with her older sisters. They share two walk in wardrobes next to each other. May just leave pjs in her room.

Btw, dd currently being diagnosed. The outcome SHOULD be HFA ASD and PDA, SPD. We will see how we go...

imip I'm wondering if a bunk bed would be a good idea for my dd. She would probably want the bottom one for cosy sleeping and the top as a snug.

We are hoping to get the ikea Stuva cabin bed. Cheapest I've seen and we have some parts of it already as a wardrobe, which is included in the Stuva. Underneath is space for a 'chill out' zone, or a desk.

However, dd has lots of control issues and said yes to the Stuva but also wants to keep her current bed Hmm. We did also hope that the diagnosis would be quicker and we could have an OT advise on some sensory ideas for her room.

Currently she shares with dd1 who is almost 9 and she's usually in out bed til midnight due to her sister's agression and meltdowns. We can't really go on like this Sad

(It's op, back to my almost usual name).

imip the stuva is a beautiful looking bed. If i had the cash I'd like someone to custom build a bunk bed with a 4ft large single on the bottom (so it sees her well into her teens) and a regular single on top, so it can double as a bed / cosy seating area.
