So tomorrow is the next installment of our adjourned tribunal!!

We are up against a solicitor and a barrister apparently. Our LA deem this to be an appropriate use of public funds!

Shame they couldnt have spent the money on supporting Dd3!! Sad

This time tomorrow it will all be over!

Could do with some flaps and honks this is not a nice feeling Sad

deep breaths - you will be fine - this part is the worse part as you having everything going on in your head - once you get there and see the LA you will be raring to go :-)

Indeedpatience. I totally didn't realise your tribunal was today!

I wish you the very best of luck. You can do this. Smile

Thinking of you Ineed, everything crossed that can be...

Just got back, it was full on and the school rep got a serious grilling from the panel. And the barrister who was about 12 and shaking presented nothing except a piece of case law.

But still you never can tell can you! It could go either way.

I could feel and hear you all flapping and honking for us Smile

That sounds encouraging, well done! I am guessing it will take a while to unwind, but I hope you manage to have a relaxing weekend.

Ineedmorepatience · 15/05/2015 15:52

Oh and meant to say, the panel didnt allow the solicitor in!! He had to wait in the little room they give you!!

Well done, surviving. Fingers crossed. Waiting is the hardest BUT you fought your corner - so, go and celebrate being AWESOME Grin.

bjkmummy · 15/05/2015 17:13

sounds really good ineed - good on the solicitor having to sit outside as well - now relax (although also know now waiting for the decision is not much fun) but at least this part is now over xxxx

Ineedmorepatience · 15/05/2015 17:52

Thanks folks, takeaway and chocolate for tea!! Grin

It seems extraordinary that a solicitor and barrister with any experience of SEN appeals seriously thought the solicitor would be allowed in - so it sounds as if neither of these two does have experience. Was it a local authority solicitor or an outside firm?

Ineedmorepatience · 15/05/2015 19:15

The solicitor was an LA one but the barrister was bought in from the other end of the country!! For some bizarre reason!

bjkmummy · 15/05/2015 19:29

like I said ineed - he was all that was available at the last minute so says a lot really doesn't it? my last tribunal were very clear that the LA can only have one person representing them and that's how we got the sen officer booted out as well

Ineedmorepatience · 15/05/2015 19:34

Yeah guessing so! bjk shocking waste of public funds though!! I dont think many of my neighbours would be impressed at how their council tax is being spent!!
