GPS tracking devices

A family member in the US sent me a link to this

I found it an interesting read. My DS is 5 and non-verbal, so I was particularly interested in the GPS tracking device aspect of these products. At the mpment he wears an engraved tag when he is out and about, but as he gets bigger and more able to get away from me, I thought a GPS tracker would be a good idea. Anyone used any of these and any recommendations for products here in the UK?

In this area, adults with difficulties eg dementia, severe learning difficulties, etc can be assessed for gps trackers, which are monitored by care phone staff.

This looks interesting:

I've seen the trackers in Fledglings catalogue but never tried one. They seem like a good idea though, i've had the police out a few times looking for DS when he was younger.

Thanks. In my looking around I see one called Trax, which is American but works here (UK) too, by the looks of it, does anyone have any experience of this. It is expensive but looks really good.
