PDA checklist

A while ago I was given a link to a checklist type thing for PDA.

My DH and I are 99% certain this fits DD (7) to a T but we are struggling to get any help for her. I can't even get a sodding referral for her because the request has come from me not a 'key worker' and we can only get help or assessment if the referral comes from school......

Of course, she masks brilliantly in school although her Y2 teacher believes me and thinks the mask is slipping a bit..

I was hoping to look at the checklist again, complete it for DD and go in to the GP again with my diary etc to see if we can get any help.

However, to end the ramble, I can't find the checklist anymore and wondered if any of you lovely people knew what the duck I was talking about and could point me in the right direction!

School are very supportive (on the surface and to my face) and had promised to observe and write me a report to help my case. I got the report just before half term and it basically says DD has no issues that aren't 'normal' Y2 child issues and, if you read between the lines, Mum is barking mad.....

This was a different teacher though as they had her in a mixed Y1/2class and moved her into a straight Y2 class as she needed the formallity that the Y2 teacher prefers.

I've written about DD before. I'm pushing again to get help after it took 30 minutes to sort her socks out this morning..........

I've thought about going private - got info from Margo Sharp and tried to get info from the Newson Centre but they haven't even acknowledged my emails from ages and ages ago. Might ring them today actually.....

Hi never I would definitely go with ringing the Newson centre, I emailed them for some advice once and it took literally weeks for them to get back to me!

I was being cheeky to be fair but I have done similar with other Proffs and had answers very quickly.

Keep plodding on, you do have a usefull bit of evidence there, that the school moved her to a parallel class because she needed more structure Hmm . They normally dont like moving children so there must have been a good reason!!

Good luck Flowers

That's the one!

Thank you Polter!

Just done the checklist scoring thing and she scores 62! And that's me being conservative! Cut off is 50 for her age group.

Will print it out, fill it in and add notes of examples.
Also will print the criteria and add notes of examples.

I will ring the Newson Centre tomorrow as I got distracted with cake making today!
