SEN (ASD) provision in Warwickshire

I am looking into what provision Warwickshire or Solihull area has for secondary aged children with ASD and ADHD. My DS Is currently in mainstream with full time 1 to 1 support (not in Warwickshire). Ideally I would like him to go to a mainstream secondary but with an ASD resource unit attached as I feel he needs that halfway house. He is capable academically but has some big gaps in his learning so I am not sure he would manage normal mainstream but I think a special school may be too far the other way, unless it was set up for higher functioning ASD, Is there anything like this in Warwickshire area?

I ma not aware of provision in that area, but you could contact the NAS education advice line and ask for a volunteer to help you with getting what you need for ds. 0808 800 4102

They have trained education volunteers so ask for one of those to help with getting the new school.

Parent Partnership/SENDIASS (who on earth dreamed up that acronym?) should be able to tell you what provision there is in your area.

All councils are also required to publish their local offer online. This should detail all the provision which they can expect CYP with SEN in their area to want to access, so covers schools, clubs, charities etc.
