Took the boys to their class last night, first of a new term and oje of the newer kids is in my ds2's class.

First thing he says- DS2 can you make sure ds1 doesn't hurt me?'

This has happened several times recently, plus I have been accosted myself by sam's classmates who want me to change things- but how? I got the acknowledgement from LEA today fro the statement application, but realistically I know that the alck of support we have equals a lack of reports to send, and our chances are low.

I'm not surprised school doesn't relaise- watched the poor SENCO doing duty for 350 kids yesterday alone ina playground that circles the school, natch Sam avoided the busier bits, was terrorixzing kids in the quieter, unsupervised areas. ig to approached there and asked for help, I ahd to drag Sam and leave him in the care of the SENCO, who MUST hate me

Really believe SENCO is dedicated, just evil Headmistress (remember the 'Sam isn't autistic his Mum needs parent traing comment to the aprent aprtnership peolpe six weeks ago!)

I can feel your heart sinking, peachy. . Really sorry. Don't have any experience, but...really sorry. It's sad for DS2 to have that experience.

how heratbreaking.

I don't really know what to suggest just wanted to say i know the feeling.

i was told by the deputy head recently that parents have complained to him and teh class teacher about my DS. saying their children are having nightamres and refusing to come to school because DS is there.

hopefully the reports will have quality if not wuantity and the statement wil be approved soon.

Peachy, I'm sending you a big hug I often get comments like this from other kids in my ds's class complaining that my ds keeps hurting them, I just wish I can do somthing about it. It's heartbreaking isn't it.

Just said to the school deputy (who is lovely), she aid she hasn'tr seen anything. Well I see it everytime i got here- he was growling at a reception kid on the way home.

I might fundraise to get their sight tested.

Went in to school Thursday (whilst ill) and helped with cooking, taking responsibility for the allergy kids

Teacher was good about Sam's diet, no way he could eat what they making (a sort of cereal bar / flapjack confection) so we made sure she had suitable alternatives to hand out when the bars had set

Sam comes home 'they were delicious'

Sorry???

Teacher had had her half day with the dep head replacing her, (I have told dep head myself about diet), Dep head refused Sama ccess top allergy bar and gave him the one they amde in class.

Excuse whilst I place my head into a soundproofed carier bag and scream

Oh Peachy, that's really bad.

DS2 was once forced to drink milk if he wanted to go out to play when he was in Reception. Classroom assistant was aware of his wheat and dairy allergies, because I went round and told every member of staff personally.

I also empathise with your OP. We had similar situations occur on a regular basis.

The mistake re the diet is dreadful though.
