ipad case for a dribbler

Hi I know that iPad cases have been raised many times but I just can't find one that will protect our ipad from DS1s dribble. He salivates profusely despite hyoscine patches.

We've had a Griffin Survivor which has proved fairly good on dribble protective qualities but he's managed to pull and bite it apart in less than a year. Not bad for someone with hypotonic cerebral palsy!

Wondered if anyone knows of a better option for him?

Thanks

This?

I can't see if it has something over the front to protect it, but I'm sure you could ask - they have a FB page which has discount codes, but if you ask on there I'm sure they'd tell you more about it.

The Apple store has a waterproof and drop proof case but it isn't cheap! unsurprisingly.

Thanks Dishwasher, unfortunately that one doesn't have a cover and all the ports are open to let in dribble! Shame because it looks otherwise excellent.

Owl that one looks a possibility. But the price, groan, may have to go for a lie down! Cheaper than replacing the ipad however....

I've got this one for iPad mini www.gadgetbaby.co.uk/ipad-mini-child-proof-shock-proof-and-splash-proof-protective-case/.

They do ones for iPad too

Hi Hanbee!

I have no idea about the case - sorry!

I just wondered about the hyoscine, as ds used the patches but they didn't make any difference to the dribbling, and then he had an allergic reaction to the adhesive in the plaster and so we stopped. However, he now has hyoscine orally (it is in a glass ampoules as it is designed for injection) and his dribbling has reduced considerably, he doesn't even have to wear a bib any more. I wondered if that might improve the effectiveness of the hyoscine?

hi Haxey

How are you? Seems a long time since our path to diagnosis thread days!

Did you ever get one for your D'S? Mine now has a hypotonic cerebral palsy diagnosis caused by PVL.

I'm talking to his paed about his dribbling but not getting very far!

Would this one be any good? It looks like the ports can be covered.

I will look at school on Monday to see which ones we use as they are really heavy duty.

hanbee we use Glycopyrrolate 2mgs x 4 / day it has been miraculous no more bibs or sore chins
