How to help ds2 with death of family dog.

Our lovely old dog died on Monday. Ds2 didn't like her but she was part of the furniture and had been around the whole of his life.

He didn't react when I told him, well, he went expressionless and stayed like that, but no crying. He cried when we buried her, but only after seeing everyone else crying.
He is so angry though, swears at me for no reason, lashes out at me, siblings and other dogs. Comes home in an absolute rage and I'm barely coping with him.

By the time dh comes home he has calmed down a bit and will be watching something on tv, but he's needing to be constantly closely supervised.

Is there anything I can do to help him? If he was upset I feel like I would know what to do and what to say, but he's so pissed off with everyone that no-one can get near him.

Flattened.
Ds has needed almost constant supervision, ds3 has been poorly, having mini versions of febrile convulsions and fainting.
Looking forward to Wine and the week being over :)

How's your ds getting on at secondary, last I saw he was doing really well, hope it's continuing?

That sounds good, I'm really pleased to hear that :)

I took ds3 to see the dr, who said its nothing to worry about, he's probably just a fainter (hurrah!). He also has vaso vagus (?) episodes. Always something to keep us on our toes!
