We are in Alton towers (I know it's a school day but thought it would be better as its quieter for dd) DD age 5 has ASD we had to leave the the theme park at 1 as she got so scared by all the people she peed herself Sad.

She has been sobbing since Sad we booked dinner for 6 hope
She is better by then otherwise it's room service.

She has stopped crying now but is rocking and humming and finger sucking. I have retreated to give her space.

Aww ... Your poor dd Sad
Is she into theme parks ?... Or was it likely to be a challenge?
Ds is 17 and Alton towers is pretty much his worst nightmare. The smells alone do his head in. And the noise!! He says its like his head is in a vice
I hope she feels better soon x

She loves oakwood park where we normally take her as long as we leave by about 3. But oakwood park is always quiet I thought this time of year in term time Alton towers would be too. I was wrong Sad

Flowers Ds really struggled with theme parks when he was little. He loves them now! I ended up taking him to the small kiddie ones then building up the bigger ones. The thing is you don't know how they will cope until you try. Have you tried anywhere like Sundown, Wheelgate or Gullivers? They are lovely little theme parks.

We always get room service in hotels as DS hates big, busy restaurants. At least you sit and eat in front of the telly! Grin

Thanks I'll have a look at those theme parks!
