ABA in mainstream pre-schools/primary schools in Kent

My son has developmental delay and was non-verbal 6 months ago. We are waiting for his assessment but I think he has autism but not severe at all. Since starting an ABA home programme he is talking (pronunciation usually wrong but is trying!), so we were hoping to get a 1:1 for him at pre-school to help with his social/play skills. Initially the pre-school said yes but have now back tracked and said that Ofsted has told them they are not allowed to have any additional support for him. This was going to be privately funded as it is unlikely we will get any help from the LA.

Does anyone know of any pre-schools or primary schools in Kent that have allowed ABA trained 1:1 shadows in? I would really appreciate hearing of anyone experiences with this. I feel so frustrated that the system in Kent won't even consider that the huge improvement he has made is due to ABA, and are doing everything they can to make me drop it. I don't understand why all the professionals I come into contact with clench their teeth at the mention of ABA when it has already done so much to help my son. I would really appreciate any advice.

Because they're shit heads

On a more productive advice, keep looking. We had a part time aba shadow going in my daughter's nursery, it was a children's centre nursery so I think it's easier to et them to agree as I've found schools are utterly terrible.

We are having the same problem now that my daughter is of reception age.

If you're not on the aba yahoo group you should join and ask there as quite a few parents are from Kent/Surrey area.
