Son has just got his buggy through the NHS, (yesterday), and is overjoyed at prospect of not having to keep walking when his foot pain gets bad. But, he finds the metal sides of the buggy uncomfortable, and has demanded I sort that and get him a raincover too.

Fortunately a padded cover for seat and metal sides and raincover etc are available, here was the cheapest I managed to track down online, with free delivery: www.babysroom.org/acatalog/copy_of_Special_Needs.html

The only other online place I found would have charged me DOUBLE for the accessories I needed, I was so disgusted I nearly emailed a complaint : www.nurserytoleisure.co.uk/. I think that taking advantage of the need to make disabled kids comfortable is just so low!

I have a sunshade, raincover and shopper available if anyone wants them. I no longer have the pushchair as the hospital kept it when we got a new set of wheels more suitable for my son.

email me at [email protected] if you are interested x

Hi - I am desperately trying to get hold of a second hand sunshade, raincover and basket for my son's McLaren Major buggy which is just on order from Wheelchair Services, as he has cerebal palsy and am trying to get them before the pram is delivered - can anyone help?

Those of you with lost parts, eg footplate, hae you tried emailing maclaren directly? My ds's maclaren major lost some of the bungs from the ends of the frame and they sent me some out they were really helpful. Smile
