Is it the first visit with the consultant? If so, they may want to assess your DC (using VB MAPP or ABLLS) to see what level they're at.
If you have started any programs then they may want to see any programs that your DC is having problems with.
If you have any particular areas/behaviours that need to be worked on then it would be useful to discuss those.

I struggle with this a lot. When they were home based it was easy. This time we will be 9:30-3:30 in school so lets see how it goes.

I am forever looking at the clock...

Usually, they start with speaking to the tutors, looking at targets & where are we. Our daughter usually signs for one of the tutors to start 'working' with her and that is then the natural progression to 'observation'.

I also have a few things that I list out and request them to cover in the day.

During observation, the consultant then demonstrates how to change the techniques or fade prompts. I have no idea how this will happen for the whole day in school.

We also discuss any behaviours/concerns as early in the day as possible.

I know many families do 3 hour workshops and I actually think that is better. But our consultant comes from far so we usually end up doing 6 hour workshops.

If any new data sheets are being introduced then those are discussed.

IEPs are discussed in the end.
