Apologies if this is entirely the wrong place to post but I am new to this game.

We have had concerns about our son since he was 2 1/2ish. He is now 5yrs He recently had an Ed Psych assessment as the school also raised concerns. The Ed Psych recommended referral on for a multi disciplinary review which 'may lead to a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder'. He also recommended referral for OT (sensory, coordination, fine motor issues) and for the school to enlist the help of social communications support.

The question is who do we need referring to within Lambeth? Our GP doesn't have a clue and has so far referred us to Paeds (to rule out physical causes) Neurodevelopmental Paeds (at our request) and OT. The School have offered to refer to Mary Sheridan house. Does anyone have any experience of the best people to see for a coherent approach? At the moment we are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the number of referrals and can't keep track of what we should expect from whom. I'm not sure if it makes any difference but whilst we live in Lambeth our GP is in Wandsworth.

Thank you so much in advance for any pearls of wisdom.

It needs to be CAMHS in some form, and Mary Sheridan House does ring bells, but I'm not up to date. I would have thought if you're going to both a paed and a neuro paed you're covering most of the bases. Is there any chance of a referral to the Newcomen Centre at Guy's?

Thanks Veritata. I can't see why he couldn't be referred to the Newcomen centre. I guess our GP might be a bit reluctant now since she has already done two referrals. It looks appropriate though. Do you have experience of them?

IIRC, the Newcomen Centre is a tertiary specialist centre - children can only be referred there by a consultant.

It does say GPs can refer on the website but maybe best to wait until we have seen Paeds?
