Has anyone managed to find any older girls school shoes/boots that accommodate insoles and don't have laces?

Both dd's are getting new insoles tomorrow from orthotics, they have had moulds taken of their feet and dd1 will need quite a supportive insole. Both dd's have hypermobile ankles and dd2 has very wide feet ( h fitting in clarks ), there's a chance I may need to buy them new shoes if the insoles don't fit in their old school shoes ( only replaced dd2s shoes a couple months ago so hoping they will still fit and dd1 hates getting new shoes and says hers still fit ). They are both in size 2 so no longer fit in the younger girls shoes, dd2 used to have kickers but the older girls ones don't have Velcro Sad. Has anyone found a girls shoe that's deep enough to hold the insoles, wide enough for dd2's feet and supportive for hypermobility?

I know it's a big ask Sad

ohh, marnie, you just reminded me that I still need to sort shoes for Dd (also has insoles). I tend to get boys shoes for her - but she is not bothered about style.. she cannot do laces and needs proper shoes not the girly ones..I usually go for a pretty neutral looking boys shoe from clarks. something like that

Dd1 usually has the boys Clark shoes ( dinosaur ones ), she has been living in them for a year and refuses to get new so if she does need new ones with her new insoles we will have to buy her the exact same shoes. Dd2 is harder, she has a pair of clarks girls shoes which we bought a few months ago when we discovered she had gone up 2 sizes ( so they were bought in a hurry ) they were the only ones in the shop they had in a H fitting so she had to have them, she hasn't worn insoles in them though and I have a feeling they won't be deep enough, she prefers girly shoes but one look supportive enough, I love the kickers buckle shoes but there's no shops near by that sell them, I don't think I can risk buying online incase they don't fit.

Ricosta shoes have removable insoles and so they accommodate orthotics better.

Dd3 has had several different styles but generally with laces recently, she cant tie they very well but I do them tight in the morning and most days they stay done up all day.

There are loads of smart black trainers on the market now with 2 or 3 velcro straps if your Dd2 would tolerate them, again you can usually pull the insoles out to fit the orthotics.

Good luck Smile
