NHS nappy help

DS has just become too big for the size 7 libero nappies, so has moved up to the pull up style medium night nappies. This seems to be the next size & only style for kids between 27kg & adult!?

Anyway, after some mix ups with the orders, we now have our supply for a while & they leak! I'm now changing trousers at every nappy change & of course all the bedding every morning.

We were told that these are the only nappies on offer, so does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this issue. It looks like the wadding inside is quite stiff and wide between the legs when it's dry which then forms a lovely gape at the legs for all the wee to pour out of before it starts absorbing.

Trying to come up with something before we start back at school next week as I imagine this is going to be a major problem.

Has anyone else had the same experience? Any ideas? Some sort of absorbent insert? Tightening up the waist with tape?

Thanks!

Try these inside the nappy as a booster.

Alternatively get pullups style Nappies, NHS supplie Drynites, they might be better.

Those look a lot cheaper than what I've been looking at. Thanks! Will give them a try.

We don't seem to have Drynites as an option... It was either the Libero night or move on to a small adult nappy, but they were massive!

You're probably pretty much stuck for choice, if your supplier is Tena. The medium night nappies are pretty generous - they're fairly big on my 8yo, though we haven't had a leak when we've tried them.

Our supplier is attends, so once he grew out of Pampers, we were given the slips, which look like regular nappies. They have a size smaller than the Tena version - XS, which provided a much better transition for him. He's in the S, now, which shows just how big the libero nights are.

In reality, DS2 rather enjoys bursting the Attends slips, and, as he only get 4 a day, anyhow, we end up buying drynights and underjams for him, when they're on offer (he's in the biggest size of those).

I've used them and can tell you they are good... probably the best for the price.

Will keep the Attends tab up just in case, but hopefully the Lille will do the trick. Wish the NHS would just offer everything to everyone... would make finding the perfect fit much easier.

How effective it is really depends on how much he wets at a time.
