Went to collect DS3 from Nursery, he did OK, one accident but
they're great- they noticed he has a home -care book from his Cm in
his bag and are going to use that as heobv. cannot tell me what
he needs, they're also hinting at support for him in reception.

So far A1.

then on to collect ds2, no issues, never are.

Collect ds1, supposed to see his teacher (SENCO) RE SALT for all
three (!).

She hasn't done the forms.

So, feeling tired and slightly narky I ask why DS1 isn't on the SEN
register, given he has a DX and all.

Oh the Ed psych was supposed to do that.

I mean, FFS!

She seemed anoyed, but to be bitchy, up close you'd never tell
behind her foundation WHAT she was thinking. The LEA had said they'd have liked to consider assessing DS for statement, but without him being even on the register......

Anyway, she says DS1 was in to see Headteacher because some other
children thought he was threatening a reception child, but it was
the othre kids, not DS1- they just got it wrong.

DS1 spent all evening yesterday (in meltdown mode) chanting 'I'm
going to kill X', X being this little kid. yep, sounds like an
accident/ not his fault to me alright. ??????

otherwise, all OK apparently.

A Mum I know stopped me pn the way home, Sam attacked her Yr 1 child
(friend of DS2) and riped his tie fro around his neck,
Headteacher had told her that DS1 was known for doing these things.

Yesterday she told me Sam had no issues whatsoever.

Going to see new school on Monday.

DH annoyed teacher this mrning by returning a snake book, but given that they are aware I have a very severe phobia of the things, how am I supposed tor ead them?
Just found a list of key words in his file too- no educational problems right? So how come, at almost 7,after 2 years school and 1 pre-school, he knows a grand total of 11 words, mainly I, Go, No etc?

peachy ~ please look into some kind of unit for ds1. I think he would thrive in an environment like that!
My heart goes out to you it really does xxx

have telephoned the ms school that a friends child attends, he is ASD and thrives there. They have an ASD unit which he could dip into if needed, and therefore experts on site.

Only problem is that Head seemed V V V concerened that achild with DX, no statement and not even on SN register would be heading his way with no funding and having ahd no input whatsoever for all these years. So we are wondering IF we will ever get that telephoen call, but will chase next week if needed, as LEA say they ahve spaces.

NAS recommended school, too. They use the TEACCH (sp) system in all classes
