severe dyslexia - specialist placement, ms or ss?

my dd is 8 and in ms primary. as part of the SA process she was dx with mld and gdd. however since having her assessed independently this diagnosis has changed to severe and complex dyslexia and motor coordination disorder of a dyspraxic nature. dd has average intelligence and IQ.
she is currently a level P8 - 1c in literacy and 2b in maths. she has a vague statement that we are appealing and recieves approx 7 hours of 1:1 a week with no ot or slt.

my indies have all recomended that for secondary placement dd will need a independent specialist placement. the problem is my LA are horrific and will never agree to this so I will need to appeal via sendist again (am currently appealing for an hr a week of ot and slt in mainstream!). Also the nearest indie placement is so far away that dd would have to board Sad I am so worried about this for various reasons.
My LA only have ss suited to mld or besd, so will not suit dd.
She needs multi sensory teaching methods and a whole school approach to dyslexia.
can anyone offer any advice?
does anyone have experience of a dyslexic child attending a mld ss?

It's hell trying to get the correct help from the LEA. Specialist schools for dyslexia are fantastic it's just hard for you as they bored.
My advice is to do what the lea suggest and document how it's failing. The problem is time and watching them slip further and further behind. Be prepared to go to tribunal and to fight. The more difficult you are the more you will get.

And get psychological well being reports done if can afford it. There are self esteem tests they can do.
