Are ping pong balls definitely not flushable?

Slightly random question for a Friday afternoon, but can anyone confirm that if I put a table tennis ball in the toilet for DS to aim at, it definitely won't flush?

He's 4 and still in nappies. He knows what to do, has done it before, he just completely lacks the motivation to use the toilet rather than a nappy. Someone suggested giving him something to aim at, which I think he might quite like, but I don't want to add a blocked toilet to the list of things that need fixed round here.

never as long as it never gets a hole in it Grin

Good point! I hadn't thought of that! I shall be nominating DH to be the checker of holes in the ping pong ball! Wink

If you put a lot of toilet paper on top of it it probably would.

I used cheerios - any cereal works. Small enough not to block and they go soggy :) You can take a tiny tupperware of cheerios into public toilets as well.

OK maybe not an entire weetabix Grin

On target do blue balls with faces which can be left in the toilet for a few weeks, if the Ping pong balls don't work out so well.

YY you need to explain that they can't eat the ones in the toilet Grin

Maybe a dual purpose - one cheerio from the tupperware to aim at, and five to eat if he manages successfully Grin

Thanks all for your replies. I knew no one in here would think my question was bonkers! Smile

Well, the ping pong ball is in the toilet. DS was interested to watch Daddy having a go but so far hasn't shown much interest himself.

zzzzz yup! I often find myself thinking "well, that's a phrase I never thought I'd have to say"! But if something might help, we're always willing to give it a go, aren't we?

Oh, and re cheerios, I think that will be my next move if the ping pong ball fails. DS loves them so as long as he can have some as reward, that might work quite well. Wink
