Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Would it hurt people to smile at dd2 if she mentions their cute baby?

Just a mini moan really and I know you will
All understand , dd2 is four and has autism
Recently when we are in the park several times she has said something like "baby good girl" I'm not expecting the other parents to jump up and down with joy , but a smile wouldn't hurt would it?

I totally agree. My children will always look at and comment on babies and they are looked at blankly or ignored. It's just bad manners.

Oops. just realised this is in Special Needs - I don't think that it is a Special Needs thing. Neither of my children have obvious SN but are still treated rudely.

Walking that's a very sweet thing to say

I don't quite understand it either but then society is getting more and more paranoid about was appropriate with children, I've had funny looks from parents for smiling at their babies.
